Al foil sculptures

Metafoil is a stage curtain currently hanging inside the Oslo Opera House. Designed by Pae White, the large sculpture is made of cotton and polyester, but ingeniously printed to resemble a massive sheet of aluminum foil. It stands at 75x36 feet and creates “a false reflection, an illusion of depth, a novel topography that disrupts expectation and challenges perception. Sculptural, seemingly spatial, the stage curtain rejects its inherent flatness” Aluminum Foil SculptureA Christie’s employee stands amongst Kader Attia’s aluminium foil sculptures entitled ‘Ghost’ at The Thinking Big auction exhibition at the Sorting Office on October 11 in London, England.
