These works are so emotive! I have never seen water colour used in this way. I would like to start painting again. Surreal influences can be seen as the works are quite dreamlike and strange. They are very simple and the colours are very warm. There are several motifs which are continuously repeated. Arrows, squares, rooms etc. I love how things like this come up during self-expression. Repeated motifs seem to show the artists deepest feelings towards something...deepest thoughts. I wish people opened up this much on a daily basis! I find is very heart-warming.
From my current life position I see these works as representing notions of career, choice and direction. There are many men in suits with arrows or fingers etc pointing at them. This may be a sense of burden which is represented...
I like how reading the text the artist is inspired by very simple things like the view from a hotel room. Although art is always progressive and changing, some things are very true and cannot become cliche no matter how many times they are recreated, they can always be interpreted in an original way.
I think there are some things that will just always be beautiful: ideas, nature, emotions, atmosphere.
I will never run out of inspiration! In fact, art makes me see the beauty in the world more than ever :)
These works would be amazing in person.
